1. Who we are
This notice explains how SB Electrical Group Ltd (company number 16218427), 28 Acorn Close, Manchester M19 2HS ("we", "us") handles personal information collected through this website and through enquiries made to the group and its trading companies: The Emergency Electricians, Mister Electrics, Fuse Box Fitters and Praetor Fire & Security. We are the data controller.

2. What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address, phone number, organisation, the type of enquiry, property details and anything you write in the message.
- Compliance reviews: the above, plus property addresses and existing certificates you choose to send.
- Job applications: your name, contact details, the role, qualifications, ECS card status, your CV if you attach one, and anything else you tell us.
- Calls and messages: details you give us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- Technical data: our hosting provider records basic request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and to keep the site running.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
3. How and why we use it

We do not sell your information or use it for automated decision-making.
4. Who we share it with
- Our trading companies, where your enquiry is for their work.
- Netlify, Inc., which hosts this website and processes form submissions. Netlify may process data in the United States under safeguards approved for UK transfers.
- Our email, telephone and job management providers, who process data only on our instructions.
- Building control bodies and competent person schemes, where notifiable electrical work must be registered.
- Our insurers and professional advisers, where needed.
- The police or regulators, where the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months.
- Customer and job records, including certificates: six years after the last work, or longer where certificates must be kept for the life of an installation.
- Unsuccessful job applications: six months, then deleted.
- Hosting logs: as set by our hosting provider, typically no more than 30 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab) or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
7. Security
This website is served only over HTTPS. Form submissions are stored by our hosting provider with access restricted to the directors and the staff who need them.
8. Changes to this notice
We will update this page if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.
