- Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC)For new circuits, rewires and consumer unit replacements, with Part P registration where the work is notifiable.
- Minor Electrical Installation Works CertificateFor additions and alterations that do not need a new circuit.
- Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR)Every observation coded C1, C2, C3 or FI, with a fixed price to put each one right. What the codes mean.
- Fire alarm inspection and servicing certificateTo BS 5839-1, with logbook entries and any variations recorded.

Intervals are the usual requirement for rented and commercial premises in England. Your insurer, fire risk assessment or the installation's condition may set shorter ones, which we work to.

Ask for our public liability and employer's liability certificates, and the ECS card and DBS status of any engineer attending your site. We send them the same day.

About our standards.
What standards does SB Electrical Group work to?
Electrical work is installed, inspected and tested to BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations, and notifiable work is registered under Part P of the Building Regulations. Fire alarms are serviced to BS 5839-1, emergency lighting to BS 5266-1 and extinguishers to BS 5306-3. CCTV follows BS EN 62676 and access control BS EN 60839.
Are your engineers qualified and checked?
Every engineer is ECS carded, DBS checked and insured. Inspectors hold City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, and certificating fire engineers hold the Level 3 Award in BS 5839-1.
What insurance do you hold?
Public liability cover of £5 million, plus employer's liability as required by law. Insurance certificates are available on request for procurement and contract files.
Can I see a sample certificate before I instruct you?
Yes. We can send redacted sample EICRs, installation certificates and fire alarm service certificates so your compliance team can check the format before a programme starts.
